In memory of Lucy and Alex
Story
I am aiming to raise money for Bears of Hope and I would welcome any contribution, great or small, that you could make! Bears of Hope provided Adam and I with information and support through the loss of both Lucy Maree Ritchie (19/6/15) and Alexander William Ritchie (23/5/16).
When we lost Lucy, we were devastated. This group gave (and continues to give) us a safe place to grieve and remember our precious angel. They also gave us a whole community to share our ups and downs with.
Knowing our journey, they were then some of the most excited to hear that we were expecting our rainbow baby. So when they then found out that we had also lost Alex, they were there again, and in a big way. Bears of Hope were responsible for providing our hospital with a Cuddle Cot so that we could spend some extremely precious time with our little man after he was born. This is time that we did not get with Lucy as the facility didn't exist there.
These cots cost over $6,000 and my ultimate goal is to donate one of these cots to a hospital that doesn't have one so that more families get this quality time with their angel babies. Every donation counts, no matter the size.

We provide exclusive and invaluable support programs that include a credible foundation of parent led and psychologist facilitated support groups, private online peer to peer support communities, phone, face to face, online and email counselling and annual community events that remember individual baby’s and recognize their parents love. Bears Of Hope comfort, acknowledge, inform, empower, and guide families during their time of loss and beyond.
As a registered non-profit organisation we are dedicated to the care of others and reinvesting our finances and resources to ensure the mental health needs and wellbeing of parents are being met and embraced for as long as as required.
